Patriots vs. Jets: The Jets Deserve No Respect

I don’t know about anyone else, but I am so sick of hearing about the New York Football Jets.

This team is all hype and hasn’t had a dominant season in my lifetime, so why should they even be relevant?

CB Darius Butler Will Need to Step Up Against Jets

One of the most under-looked positions in football is the nickel back.

The nickel back comes in the “nickel” package when it is likely a pass situation, and they usually line up on the opposing team’s slot receiver. The slot receiver is usually very fast and hard to cover, so the nickel back needs to be ready to cover.

Jets vs. Pats; Rex Ryan vs. Bill Belichick

This is the matchup that all NFL fans and experts have wanted—two hated rivals in the playoffs, the New York Jets vs. New England Patriots.

But, more importantly, Rex Ryan vs. Bill Belichick. The battle of head coaches.

Being head coaches is probably the only thing these two guys have in common, other than that, they’re polar opposites.

Rex Ryan, or Sexy Rexy, is just a big-mouth, very emotional coach, while Bill Belichick, the Hoodie, is nothing less than a football mastermind.

Let’s face it—which team do you think is going to be more prepared next Sunday? Do you really think that Sexy Rexy is going to out-prepare Belichick? No, he’ll be too occupied with his foot fetishes. Just kidding.

But, seriously, Belichick is going to out prepare Ryan, and the Patriots will be more prepared to succeed than the self-proclaimed Super Bowl favorites.

Ever since Sexy Rexy has been head coach of the New York Jets, the Patriots have had some trouble against them, while the teams have split the four games.

But, keep in mind, how many coaches have a winning record against Belichick? I can’t think of any, and do you really think that Rex Ryan is going to be Belichick’s kryptonite?

Not a chance.

I realize that I’m not presenting any stats, but let me throw out this one:

With the four games between these coaches, they have split, with the home team being victorious.

Well, good news for Pats fans, the game is in Foxboro, where Patriots quarterback Tom Brady has not lost since 2006, and has only lost one playoff game.

Brady has a career playoff record of 14-4 and Belichick has a playoff record of 15-4, with four Super Bowl appearances and three Super Bowl wins.

Ryan has a 3-1 playoff record after finally defeating Indianapolis Colts quarterback Peyton Manning.

Is this the year that Sexy Rexy can run the table and go to Indy, Foxboro, and then Pittsburgh beating all three quarterbacks, Peyton Manning, Tom Brady and Ben Roethlisberger?

No way.

Let’s face it: Bill Belichick will not let his team lose against the Jets and Rex Ryan, he simply hates them.

Belichick vs. Godzilla: Bill wins, he kicks his ass.

Belichick vs. Rex Ryan: tied up right now, but not for long.

Bill Belichick, Tom Brady, and the Pats will prevail and stop the playoff run of the self-proclaimed Super Bowl champs, New York Jets.

Jim Caldwell is Grady Little; He Should Be Fired

If you could summarize Indianapolis Colts head coach Jim Caldwell is one word: awful.
